Ohio State hoping 5-star DE Nick Bosa follows in brother Joey's footsteps
With presidential nomination campaigns sweeping the nation, something that would certainly sweep the state of Ohio is "three more years of Bosa!"
Ohio State is certainly hoping for the same returns from five-star defensive end Nick Bosa that they got from his All-American older brother, Joey. The younger sibling certainly comes in with higher expectations, ranked No. 3 overall on ESPN's top 300, whereas the departing Bosa came to Columbus in 2013 as the 56th-ranked prospect.
Much like his brother, Nick plays with a chip on his shoulder, with an ever-present mean streak that benefits his game on the defensive side of the football. Whether he can immediately contribute to the Buckeyes remains to be seen, as a torn ACL suffered in November could delay the start of his college career.
The 6-foot-3, 250-pound Florida native possesses advanced hand usage for a player his age, and reads the game as well as any lineman in the country. As soon as he's cleared for action, he should be an important playmaker in first-year coordinator Greg Schiano's defense.
