Assani Lukimya has ended a three-and-a-half-year stay at Werder Bremen to join Chinese Super League outfit Liaoning Whowin.
After playing his whole career in Germany and becoming a fan favourite at Weserstadion through his physical, no-nonsense approach at the back, the Zaire-born Congo international has been lured by the Northeast Tigers, who finished 12th in the 2015 campaign.
He'll join a growing African contingent at the club, with Zambia's James Chamanga and Senegal's Ibrahima Toure already in Ma Lin's squad.
Werder Bremen had already strengthened its defence earlier in the January transfer window with the loan acquisition of Chelsea's Papy Djilobodji.
