Missouri suspends QB Maty Mauk indefinitely

The off-field troubles for Maty Mauk continue.

Missouri has suspended its starting quarterback indefinitely, according to Dave Matter of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, after a video surfaced that allegedly shows Mauk snorting cocaine.

Mauk endured a tumultuous year off the field, in which he was suspended multiple times for various incidents. Mauk was also hit hard by his father's cancer diagnosis before the season.

Mauk, who will be a senior in 2016, entered his junior campaign as the starter, but wound up playing just four games, while his incidents took most of the spotlight. He compiled 654 yards, six touchdowns, and four interceptions, and the Tigers struggled to a 5-7 record overall.

Longtime head coach Gary Pinkel retired at season's end, so the future of Mauk now seemingly sits in Barry Odom's hands.
