Dean Ambrose survives brutal 'Last Man Standing' match against Kevin Owens
The most heated rivalry in WWE today came to a head at the "Royal Rumble" pay-per-view Sunday night, with Dean Ambrose putting his Intercontinental Championship on the line against Kevin Owens in a "Last Man Standing" match.
Pinfalls, submissions, count-outs, and disqualifications were null and void, as the only way to win was to incapacitate your opponent to the point where he's unable to answer a count of 10 from the referee.

Both superstars pulled out all the stops in this bout, using steel chairs, kendo sticks, and tables to brutalize the other man.

In the end, it was the "Lunatic Fringe" standing tall after knocking Owens off the top rope through two tables stacked on top of each other ringside.

Ambrose originally captured the Intercontinental title from Owens at WWE: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs on Dec. 13.
This was also the first "Last Man Standing" match in over a year, with the last coming at "Extreme Rules" in April when Roman Reigns defeated Big Show.
