West Virginia reels in 4-star linebacker Brendan Ferns

West Virginia added one of the top linebacker recruits in the country on Wednesday, as four-star prospect Brendan Ferns announced his commitment to the Mountaineers.
Ferns is the seventh-ranked linebacker in the class of 2016, and is ranked 145th on ESPN's 300 list.
The Ohio native is listed as an inside linebacker, and has the skill set to drop back in pass coverage and rush the passer effectively.
Along with West Virginia, Ferns also had offers from Alabama, Arizona, and Michigan, among other major programs.
