Valencia manager Gary Neville appointed Alvaro Negredo and Paco Alcacer as Los Che's new captains Friday, stripping the title from Dani Parejo. The two Spanish forwards will join Javi Fuego and Diego Alves in the role.

Neville's decision comes one day after Valencia's 1-1 draw against Las Palmas in the quarterfinals of the Copa del Rey - a fixture in which Alcacer was given Los Che's captaincy - and at a time where the club from from the Orange Blossom Coast is struggling to scrape together points.

"I discussed it with Dani over these last couple of weeks and we came to the decision together," Neville said, according to Sky Sports' Patrick Surlis. "If there was a problem between the two of us then we would not have played tonight and you would not have seen that performance from him. I thought he was our best player."

Valencia is winless in La Liga since Neville arrived at the club, and its last win in the top flight of Spanish football came in early November.
