The AHL's Toronto Marlies released goaltender Ray Emery from his professional tryout, the club announced Thursday.
The move ends Emery's brief six-week stint with the AHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Emery - who signed with the Marlies on Dec. 18 - went 2-1-0 in three games with a 2.69 GAA and a .897 save percentage.
The 33-year-old previously played in the NHL with the Philadelphia Flyers, where he posted a 10-11-7 record in 31 games last season.
