The midfielder signs a three-and-a-half-year contract with the Weser for an undisclosed fee after impressing on trial.

"We're delighted that we've been able to tie him down to the club long term. He is a young international footballer with lots of potential," Werder Bremen chief executive Thomas Eichin told the club website.

Kleinheisler graduated through Puskas Akademia to make his Videoton debut in the summer of 2013, and made his international bow in November 2015, taking advantage of some poor positioning by Norwegian shot stopper Orjan Nyland to score on his debut:

He leaves Vidi with 10 assists and four goals over 42 league appearances.

The 21-year-old will hope for a regular role in Viktor Skrypnyk's starting XI in the lead up to Hungary's Euro 2016 campaign, in which it has been drawn alongside Portugal, Iceland, and Austria in Group F.

Werder Bremen returns from the Bundesliga winter break with a trip to FC Schalke 04 on Saturday.
