4-star DE Jeffery Simmons commits to Mississippi State

Highly touted defensive end Jeffery Simmons announced his pledge to attend Mississippi State on Wednesday.

The 6-foot-4, 262-pound four-star prospect is ranked 84th in the ESPN 300 in the class of 2016. Given his size and strength, Simmons is expected to make an immediate impact at the college level.

His only downside is his first step, which hasn't yet developed to an elite level.
