Charlotte Hornets point guard Kemba Walker and Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins were named the NBA's Players of the Week.

Walker was an easy selection for the Eastern Conference. He opened the week with a 52-point performance to help his team overcome the Utah Jazz in double overtime on Monday, then followed it up with games of 21, 40, and 26.

Through four games, Walker averaged 34.8 points, six rebounds, and six assists per game.

His performance helped the Hornets to a 3-1 record through a trying week in which the Hornets battled injuries to two starters, and claimed crucial wins over Knicks and Magic who are neck-and-neck with the Hornets in the playoff hunt.

Not to be outdone, Cousins put up averages of 36 points, 14.7 rebounds, and 3.3 assists while shooting a blistering 52.6 percent from the floor and 66.7 percent from deep. Along the way, Boogie dumped a career-high 48 points against the Indiana Pacers and guided his team to a 3-0 week as part of a five-game win streak.

Stephen Curry, James Harden, Anthony Davis, Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, Tyson Chandler, DeMar DeRozan, and Gordon Hayward were named as honorable mentions.
