Inter Milan and Nemanja Vidic are parting ways.

On Monday, Inter terminated Vidic's contract with the club by mutual consent, bringing an unfortunate end to his time at the San Siro after he suffered a back injury in August and only returned to training in December.

Vidic, whose contract was set to expire at the end of the Serie A season, didn't make a single appearance for Inter throughout the ongoing campaign, yet his reported salary of €3.2 million per year was among the club's highest.

Over the course of his one-and-a-half-year spell at Inter, Vidic tallied 28 appearances and one goal, scoring at Genoa in January of last year.
