Aqib Talib says Ben Roethlisberger faked arm injury
Denver Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib isn't buying what Ben Roethlisbeger is selling.
"Ben was healthy as hell," Talib said following Sunday's divisional-round win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to Nicki Jhabvala of The Denver Post. "He didn't fool anybody."
Roethlisberger has earned a reputation as a "drama queen" when it comes to his injuries with many speculating that he overstates how hurt he is to gain a competitive advantage and/or undue respect.
In this case it's been reported that Roethlisberger suffered a separated shoulder and torn ligaments in last week's win over the Cincinnati Bengals, meaning it's unlikely he was faking an injury.
But the ailment did not appear to limit Big Ben in any way Sunday, as his arm strength was on display from the very first play. The lack of any discernible difference in play will make it easy for Talib and others to further the theory that Roethlisberger was playing possum.
