Report: 4-star DT Raekwon Davis flips to Mississippi State from Alabama
Four-star defensive tackle Raekwon Davis has flipped his commitment to Mississippi State from Alabama, multiple sources confirmed to Courtney Cronin of The Clarion-Ledger.
However, when asked by Hank South of BamaOnline if he flipped his commitment, Davis responded "No" via text message, and "Yes sir" when asked if he's still committed to Alabama.
Davis was in Starkville for an official visit with Mississippi State this weekend, and apparently liked what the Bulldogs had to offer. He has an official visit to Alabama lined up later this month, but it's unknown if he'll honor it.
Davis, who measures in at 6-foot-8 and 318 pounds, is ranked 21st on ESPN's list of top defensive tackle prospects in the 2016 class.
He garnered interest from Florida State, Ole Miss, and South Carolina, in addition to his offers from the Crimson Tide and Bulldogs. Davis initially committed to Alabama in July 2014.
