4-star DB Shyheim Carter signs with Alabama

Four-star defensive back Shyheim Carter is staying close to home after committing to Alabama on Wednesday.

The 6-foot, 177-pound Louisiana native is the sixth-ranked defensive back in the nation and is listed as the 40th overall prospect in ESPN's top 300.

Carter received offers from 11 schools before originally pledging to Alabama in 2014. He decommitted from the Crimson Tide in August, only to re-sign.
