Alabama running back Derrick Henry is off to the NFL.

The junior has decided to enter the 2016 NFL Draft, ending his brilliant collegiate career, according to ESPN's Joe Schad.

Henry rushed for a whopping 2,219 yards and 28 touchdowns this season, en route to capturing the Heisman Trophy, and leading his team to the College Football Playoff National Championship.

He wraps up his Alabama career with 3,591 rushing yards and 42 touchdowns across three seasons, though he did almost all of his damage in the latter two years.

Henry's remarkable 2015 season saw him become Alabama's all-time leader in both single-season rushing yards and career rushing yards. He also broke the SEC's single-season rushing record.

Although he finishes his Alabama career as one of the most decorated backs in school history, the jury is still out on how successful he'll be in the NFL. Henry's power out of the backfield is undeniable, but some question his agility and explosiveness, and how much of an advantage his size will give him in a bigger, faster, and stronger league.

Regardless of how his pro career turns out, Henry will surely go down as one of the greatest players to ever wear the Crimson Tide uniform.
