Looking to confuse supporters and pundits alike, Tottenham Hotspur has reportedly expressed an interest in signing striker Moussa Dembele from Fulham.

With Belgian international Mousa Dembele already in Mauricio Pochettino's squad, the north London side are looking to add a second Dembele, according to Tom Dutton from the Evening Standard.

Dembele, 19, has nine goals and two assists in 24 league matches for the Cottagers this season, prompting speculation that the French-born striker is set for a move to a top-flight club.

Out of contract at Craven Cottage a season's end, Dutton reports Monaco, Manchester United, Feyenoord, Borussia Dortmund, and Napoli join Spurs as clubs interested in the pacey forward who joined Paris Saint-Germain as an 8-year-old.

Even with all the interest surrounding the teenage goal machine, Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic is hoping to keep Dembele at Fulham. Easier said than done.

"I am not thinking about selling my key players like Ross McCormack or Moussa Dembele," Jokanovic told reporters.

"They are good players, I have only been working with them for two days but I expect both can offer more things than they did against Sheffield Wednesday."

Just two weeks into his tenure as Fulham boss, it appears Jokanovic may not fully understand the nature of managing a talented player on a Championship side.

"I don't plan for it and that is it. This team needs some fresh blood and we are thinking about some players who can help us in the future."
