Report: Eagles' interest in Tom Coughlin intensifies

With Ben McAdoo no longer available, the Philadelphia Eagles have reportedly turned their attention towards former New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin.

Talks between the Eagles and Coughlin have "intensified" since Wednesday night, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Coughlin interviewed for the Eagles head coaching vacancy on Monday and has also reportedly received interest from the San Francisco 49ers.

While he was impressed by the number of draft picks and salary-cap space the 49ers have, the distance away from his family and his wife's feelings about moving cross-country are major factors Coughlin needs to consider, ESPN's Dan Graziano reports.

Coughlin believes he has 2-3 years left as a coach, but also has other options on the table, according to Schefter. Thus, he and the Eagles are still figuring out whether a relationship could work.
