DeAndre Jordan out vs. Heat with pneumonia
The NBA's longest consecutive-games-played streak is coming to an end.
Los Angeles Clippers center DeAndre Jordan will sit out against the Miami Heat on Wednesday night at Staples Center as he battles pneumonia, the team announced.
Jordan last missed a game back on March 23, 2011, with Sunday's 114-111 overtime win against the New Orleans Pelicans topping his streak off at round 360.
Head coach Doc Rivers wouldn't indicate who will be replace him in the starting lineup, but Cole Aldrich would seem a safe bet as the only other legitimate five-man on the roster.
In 38 appearances, Jordan is averaging 11.6 points and 13.4 rebounds on 71.5 percent shooting for the 25-13 Clippers, who enter Wednesday's clash with the Heat riding a nine-game winning streak.
