Heading into Monday's championship game against Alabama, Clemson fans have been concerned about defensive end Shaq Lawson's status.
Lawson injured his knee on the second play of the game against Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl, and stayed in for only one more play before leaving the game.
Lawson confirmed to media Saturday that he suffered an MCL injury and that he's been wearing a brace in practice, which he's still getting used to.
The junior said it's about a "60 percent chance I play" and that the biggest issue is lateral movement, but he's improving every day day.
The Central, S.C. native started all 14 games for the Tigers, recording 55 tackles, 10.5 sacks, and one forced fumble.
