FC Koln strengthens defence with Filip Mladenovic from BATE Borisov

FC Koln has snapped up left-back Filip Mladenovic on a three-year contract, ending the Serbian's near two-year association with Belarusian outfit BATE Borisov.

The 24-year-old has one cap for his national team and managing director Jorg Schmadtke told the club website that Mladenovic completes the squad while offering some fine threat surging forward from defence.
The Bundesliga is currently in the midst of a winter break, with FC Koln welcoming VfB Stuttgart on January 23.
