Report: Cowboys exec Will McClay turns down interview with Lions

The Detroit Lions can cross one name off their list of general manager candidates.
The Lions requested an interview with Dallas Cowboys assistant director of player personnel Will McClay, but he turned them down, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.
McClay told Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press that he recently redid his contract with the Cowboys, and his decision to remain in Dallas had nothing to do with the Lions opening.
The Lions fired general manager Martin Mayhew and president Tom Lewand after a disappointing 1-7 start to the season.
