The Denver Broncos are already locked into a playoff spot, but a win to close out the regular season would earn the club some favorable positioning for a potential Super Bowl run.

With the New England Patriots losing to the Miami Dolphins earlier in the day Sunday, Denver needs a win over the San Diego Chargers to secure the No. 1 seed in the AFC.

The coveted top spot would come with home-field advantage, ensuring that all roads to the Super Bowl in the AFC go through Denver.

San Diego has been one of the NFL's most disappointing teams throughout the 2015 campaign, and the Broncos knocked off their division rivals by a score of 17-3 in Week 13.

Denver was off to a hot start early in Sunday's rematch, as Brock Osweiler found Demaryius Thomas for a 72-yard catch-and-run for an early 7-0 lead.
