Versatile Nantes vet Deaux signs with Belgian darling Gent
With a historic place in the Champions League knockout stage on the horizon, Belgian side Gent has bolstered its ranks by signing Nantes' man of many positions, Lucas Deaux.
Reims-born Deaux, 27, joins Gent on a two-and-a-half-year contract from Les Canaris for an undisclosed fee in a move that was finalised Sunday, according to L'Equipe.

Deaux has been a staple of Nantes' efforts since signing from Reims in 2012, appearing in 85 of the Loire side's 95 Ligue 1 matches in the last three seasons.
Versatile in most central positions, Deaux has started seven matches this year in a defensive midfield role and five as a central defender, and made one appearance in a more advanced slot.
