Club Brugge signs Angers standout shot-stopper Ludovic Butelle

In what may appear as a surprise move, Angers star shot-stopper Ludovic Butelle is set to join Belgian side Club Brugge, the Jupiler Pro League club announced Sunday.

Butelle has been a vital component of promoted Angers' astonishing Ligue 1 campaign, with 11 clean sheets in 19 matches for Le Sco, leading the minnows to a third-place Ligue 1 spot midway through the 2015-16 season.
Angers also announced the move on its website Sunday, with plans to finalise the transfer Monday. The Ligue 1 side also confirmed that the former Valencia and Lille 'keeper has agreed to a two-and-a-half year contract with the defending Belgian top-flight runners-up.
