Brandon Marshall secured himself a spot in the New York Jets record books Sunday, breaking Al Toon's single-season reception mark.
The catch was Marshall's 94th of the season, and first of the game.
Toon's record stood for 27 years and was only challenged a handful of times. Laveranues Coles came the closest to breaking it with 91 receptions in 2002.
Marshall, who was acquired in a March trade with the Chicago Bears, entered the game with a team-leading 1,261 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns.
