Twitter erupts as McDavid torches the Maple Leafs

Edmonton Oilers forward Connor McDavid turned the hockey world on its head Thursday as he punched in the most dynamic night of his young career, going off for five points in a 5-2 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs.

As he did that the hockey world did a poor job of keeping its composure, drooling out of the mouth as the new prodigy proved it will not take long for him to become the master.
I think McDavid could win the Calder still. Even with 45 games played.

If ever there's a rumour Connor McDavid is going on the trade block I fully expect a large, angry mob of Edmontonians to blow up that block.

McDavid gets 5 points. Eberle gets a hat trick. Schultz tied his own skates. It was a good night for the Oilers.

Connor McDavid has a five-point game in today's NHL before his 20th game. He'll be the Art Ross favourite in 2016-17.
