Search your feelings, LA Galaxy fans. You know it to be true. The All-Star defender joined Mexican side Pachuca on Tuesday, and made quite a galactic entrance, dressing up as Darth Vader for his introductory press conference.

Pachuca's had some fun with the Star Wars theme in recent days, redesigning its website and dressing its players as characters from the movie.

Gonzalez is a U.S. international with roots to Mexico; the circle is now complete. While U.S. national team fans might view this signing as entering the rebel base, playing in Mexico won't put a carbonite freeze on his international career. It's not a trap, as it were.
Certain, one thing is: a great signing for Pachuca, he will be.
