Knicks' O'Quinn to sit out vs. Magic with sprained ankle

Jeremy Brevard-USA TODAY Sports

Big man Kyle O'Quinn won't be in uniform on Monday night when the New York Knicks host the Orlando Magic - the team he played the first three seasons of his career with - at Madison Square Garden.

O'Quinn will miss the game with a sprained right ankle, according to SNY.tv's Adam Zagoria.

A majority of his minutes off the bench came serving as the primary backup to Robin Lopez at center, which means rookie Kristaps Porzingis and Kevin Seraphin should see some time at the five spot to compensate for O'Quinn's absence.

In 23 appearances for the 14-14 Knicks, O'Quinn is averaging 5.1 points and 4.7 rebounds in 13.7 minutes per game.
