Ottawa Senators forward Bobby Ryan left Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Lightning after aggravating a hand injury.
The club later announced Ryan would not return.
The 28-year-old winger played only two shifts in the second period after nine in the opening frame. He logged exactly eight minutes of ice time before exiting.
Ryan had 33 points in 32 games entering Sunday's contest.
