The Los Angeles Lakers' tumultuous season continued Saturday night against the Oklahoma City Thunder, with the team getting blown out 118-78.

Following the loss, Byron Scott called out his team for its questionable effort in the defeat, claiming the Lakers were scared of the mighty Thunder.

"Those guys looked like they were scared tonight or intimidated by (Kevin) Durant and (Russell) Westbrook," Scott said to ESPN's Baxter Holmes. "They didn't play well at all and really just got embarrassed by the way we played tonight."

The Thunder were aggressive from the beginning, jumping out to a 35-15 advantage after the first quarter. The onslaught continued for the rest of the night, with seven Oklahoma City players scoring 10 points or more.

While the players agreed that the effort wasn't there, D'Angelo Russell and Julius Randle both stated that the team wasn't afraid of OKC.

"I only can speak for myself," Russell said. "(I'm) definitely not scared."

"We didn't have energy. We didn't play with energy. We didn't play as a team," Randle added. "(But) we definitely weren't scared."

Los Angeles was without Kobe Bryant, who missed the game with a shoulder injury. The All-Star shooting guard says he expects to play Tuesday night against the Denver Nuggets, as the Lakers attempt to get back in the win column.
