Kamaru Usman def. Leon Edwards via unanimous decision

Kamaru Usman showed how effective he can be for 15 minutes while Leon Edwards faded.

A close first round became a footnote in the end as Usman used his wrestling to whittle away at his opponent's defenses. When Edwards wasn't stuck against the fence, he was being dragged down to the mat by the relentless Usman.

The final round saw Usman in complete control, never allowing Edwards to get any separation while peppering him with short shots in close. A flurry of late ground and pound clinched the decision.

Vicente Luque def. Hayder Hassan via 1st-round technical submission (anaconda choke)

Vicente Luque made sure that his second meeting with Hayder Hassan would have a very different result.

The two Florida-based fighters fought during their time on The Ultimate Fighter 21, a match that went the distance with Hassan edging out a win. Luque, however, stopped this one early.

After working from range, Luque hurt Hassan in close and then took control of his head to set up an anaconda choke. Hassan appeared to tap, but he went to sleep before the referee could break them up.

Francis Ngannou def. Luis Henrique via 2nd-round KO

Two debuting heavyweights entered. Only one left with his senses intact.

Francis Ngannou struggled with Luis Henrique's grappling in the first round and he had to know he was trailing going into the second. The massive Frenchman smoked Henrique with a furious uppercut that made sure the judges' scorecards would not be necessary.

The punch might never have come were it not for an action-happy referee who gave Henrique little time to work in the clinch or on the mat. The fight-ending blow came shortly after another quick reset.
