Adrian Peterson doesn't appear to be at risk of missing any game action despite emerging from Sunday's win over the Chicago Bears with an ankle injury.

The Minnesota Vikings running back will be "ready to go" for next week's matchup with the New York Giants, according to Josina Anderson of ESPN.

Peterson had his left leg caught underneath him during a late second-quarter tackle and appeared to be in a considerable amount of pain as he made his way to the locker room for further evaluation.

Though the Vikings remained in complete control of the game throughout the second half, Peterson still managed to return and play through what he later called a sprain.

"I really can't pinpoint it right now, but it was definitely an ankle sprain," he said, according to Ben Goessling of ESPN. "I was able to get out and kind of get it loose, and I got loose enough after about the first series (of the third quarter) and was able to get back out there."

Now having tallied a league-best 1,314 rushing yards with two games to play, Peterson is once again in Pro Bowl form.

His healthy presence down the stretch will be imperative to the Vikings' chances of either securing a wild-card spot or chasing down the Green Bay Packers for an NFC North title.
