Penguins' Fleury out at least 1-2 weeks with concussion

The Pittsburgh Penguins are about to see what life's like without their top goalie.

Marc-Andre Fleury will be out of the lineup for at least one-to-two weeks with a concussion, general manager Jim Rutherford confirmed to Jenn Menendez of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

"I haven't talked to the doctor yet. I don't have any further information other than he was examined, and it was determined he was concussed," said Rutherford. "At a minimum one-to-two weeks. You can't put a timeline on these things though."

The tests were conducted at Fleury's request, head coach Mike Sullivan revealed earlier Tuesday.

"(Fleury) came to us last night and said he wasn't feeling right. He's being tested but there's a possibility it's a concussion," Sullivan said.

Fleury allowed four goals on 30 shots while playing the entirety of Monday's loss to Washington.

"I don't think it was in the game (Monday), but (Fleury) didn't indicate when," Sullivan added in terms of when the injury occurred. "Certainly when he brought it to our attention, we addressed it."

In 25 appearances this season, he's posted a record of 13-10-2 with a save percentage of .925, providing a sense of stability for a club whose offense has struggled mightily.
