Carolina Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart was spotted with his left foot in a walking boot Monday.
The severity of his injury is unknown, but head coach Ron Rivera told reporters Stewart was set to undergo a precautionary MRI on Monday.
Stewart left Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons, but was said to be healthy enough to re-enter if the game wasn't a blowout.
With the Panthers having little left to play for, the team could elect to rest Stewart, and other starters with injuries, until the playoffs. Cameron Artis-Payne and Mike Tolbert would be in line for extended work should Stewart miss any time.
