76ers' Noel suffers eye injury vs. Raptors
Things continue to go from bad to worse for the lowly Philadelphia 76ers.
During the third quarter of Sunday's loss in Toronto, the 1-24 Sixers lost big man Nerlens Noel to an eye injury, with Noel suffering a left corneal abrasion after taking an elbow from Kyle Lowry.
Noel - who has missed four games this season due to wrist and knee injuries - was ruled out for the remainder of the game early in the fourth quarter, and head coach Brett Brown said afterwards that he was undergoing evaluation at the hospital.
Brown was unsure whether Noel would be able to fly with the team to Chicago, where it'll take on the Bulls on Monday.
The 21-year-old sophomore has averaged 10.3 points, eight rebounds, 1.5 steals, 1.2 assists, and a block in just over 30 minutes per game for Philadelphia.
