It appears the world will have to wait to find out who Manny Pacquiao will take on in his next bout.

The announcement, which was expected to come on Friday, will now be delayed, according to Dan Rafael of ESPN.

"I was asked to tell you on Bob's behalf that, unfortunately, Top Rank will not have an announcement on truTV as originally planned as Manny is not ready to make a decision on his opponent yet," said Fred Sternburg, a spokesman for promoter Bob Arum.

Earlier in the week, Arum stated that Pacquiao's next opponent would be revealed during the "MetroPCS Friday Night Knockout" card on truTV.

Pacquiao is reportedly considering welterweight champion Timothy Bradley Jr. (33-1-1, 13 KOs), and junior welterweight titlist Terence Crawford (27-0, 19 KOs). Amir Khan (31-3, 19 KOs) has been mentioned as another candidate, but is believed to be an unlikely option.

The bout is scheduled to take place April 9, 2016 in Las Vegas, and is expected to be Pacquiao's final fight.

The 36-year-old has a career record of 57-6-2, including 38 KOs, but underwent rotator cuff surgery after his loss to Floyd Mayweather in May.
