Penn State defensive end Carl Nassib has been named the 2015 Rotary Lombardi Award winner, awarded to the nation's top lineman.

This is the senior's second award of the day, as he was also awarded the Hendricks Award earlier Wednesday afternoon.

"I would like to thank the Rotary Club of Houston for all that they do and for giving out this great honor," Nassib said. "I am so thankful for all of the help from my coaches, teammates, and family. I am so blessed to be here and I will always remember this moment.

"Again I am so thankful for this honor and am truly humbled to bring it back home to Penn State."

Nassib edged out Texas A&M's Myles Garrett, Clemson's Shaq Lawson, and Ohio State's Joey Bosa.

This season Nassib recorded 15.5 sacks along with 19.5 tackles for loss, both tops in the FBS this year. His six forced fumbles were also good for second in the nation.

He reached those marks despite playing only four snaps in the last two games due to injury.
