Major League Baseball's revenue numbers continue to soar to record heights with each passing year, and 2015 has been no different.

After a record-setting 2014, Forbes reports MLB's gross revenues have increased $500 million for 2015, pushing the grand total to $9.5 billion - making it the 13th consecutive year MLB has witnessed record growth.

Included in the Forbes report are financials for fan apparel and retail sales of merchandise (exceeded $3 billion), and sponsorships ($225-275 million).

MLB Advanced Media is also responsible for continued growth in the digital products department of the league. Forbes writes:

MLB Advanced Media had more than 3.5 million subscribers to its suite of digital products last year, including MLB.TV, and the MLB.com At Bat mobile application. MLB.com At Bat, the highest-grossing iOS sports app of all-time, was downloaded 11 million times in 2014, surpassing its previous record of 10 million downloads set in 2013.

With the addition of new television rights deals forthcoming, MLB is expected to see revenue continue to skyrocket in 2016, and beyond.
