Report: Ducks' Andersen, Khudobin may be available via trade

The Anaheim Ducks are apparently willing to move either goaltender the club entered the season deploying.

John Gibson's emergence since his AHL recall could see a deal involving Anton Khudobin, or potentially even high-value starter Frederik Andersen, Darren Dreger reported Thursday on TSN's Insider Trading.

Dreger speculated that the Montreal Canadiens or Calgary Flames may have some degree of interest in either goalie.

Andersen represents one of the better values in terms of capable starters, and as such, will command a far greater return. He's earning just a shade over $1 million and will be a restricted free agent at season's end.

Khudobin, who would probably be considered insurance for a would-be suitor, earns almost double that of Andersen and will also come off the books this summer.

Gibson, 22, is 2-2-1 and fashioned a 1.87 GAA and .932 save percentage, taking five straight starts.
