Parise tells reporters to hold mics with right hands after Suter's game-winner

After making headlines for the wrong reasons, the usually quiet Ryan Suter did what he does best: Let his play do the talking.

The Minnesota Wild defenseman, who averages more than 28 minutes of ice a night, scored the game-winning goal against the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday night, helping his club to a big 2-1 win on the road. His fourth goal of the season came a day after he called out his coaches for making changes to the Wild's defensive pairings.

After the game, teammate Zach Parise had some fun at Suter's expense:

Suter, a left-handed shot, was upset Monday about being paired in practice with teammate Jonas Brodin, who also shoots left-handed.

"I don't know what they're thinking," Suter said Monday. "I need to play with a right-handed defenseman to give me more options, neutral zone, offensively and even coming out of D zone. It's not fair to put a guy on his off side."

Suter clarified his comments Tuesday, saying he was on the same page as head coach Mike Yeo, and that he'll do whatever it takes to win. Yeo, for his part, was impressed with both Suter's and his club's effort after the big win.

Suter did indeed play with Brodin on Tuesday. And as always, Suter played a lot, logging 29:36 of ice, finishing with a massive third-period goal, three shots, three blocks, and two hits.
