The Ottawa Senators took a beating Tuesday night.

After losing Milan Michalek to an upper-body injury against the Philadelphia Flyers, the club announced in the third period that forward Mika Zibanejad would sit out the remainder of the game for precautionary reasons, after he was hit in the head earlier in the frame.

Zibanejad played 13:19 before departing. He has four goals and 12 assists in 24 games.

The club didn't update his status after the game, though head coach Dave Cameron said the hit in question should have been a major penalty.
