Dolphins' Pouncey carted to locker room with foot injury

Miami Dolphins center Mike Pouncey left Sunday's game against the New York Jets with a foot injury suffered in the first quarter.

Pouncey had to be carted to the locker room after having his right foot evaluated by Miami's training staff, and the team announced that he would not return.

The two-time Pro Bowler has started in every game to this point in the season, once again performing as one of Miami's top offensive players.

Reserve lineman Jamil Douglas stepped in as the first-team center following his departure.
