Report: Jimbo Fisher tells Florida State he has no intention of leaving
Contrary to many LSU boosters' wishes, it doesn't look like Jimbo Fisher will be taking his talents to the Bayou to replace Les Miles.
The Florida State coach has made it clear to school president John Thrasher that he has no desire to leave the Seminoles program, according to a report from Tom D'Angelo of the Palm Beach Post.
The rumors of LSU firing Miles have persisted for weeks, with many considering Saturday's game against Texas A&M his swan song. Fisher has appeared at the heart of those rumors, with the former Tigers coordinator the favorite to take over the head coaching position.
The report says Fisher has told administration that "he is happy with the support he receives and the direction of the program, and has no intentions of leaving Florida State for another coaching job at this time."
The 50-year-old is second only to Alabama's Nick Saban with 67 victories since 2010.
