DFS: Bargain Plays - Week 12's Top Sleepers

Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports / Reuters

Here are the top bargain basement DFS options in Week 12 of NFL action:

QB Josh McCown, Browns (vs. Ravens)

The Johnny Football era has come and gone with a whimper, and McCown steps back into the fold. Among starting QBs, he's the cheapest of the bunch. It's the joy of the algorithm being in place before a perceived starter gets benched.

McCown has had a few strong games under center for Cleveland. This includes throwing for 457 yards with two touchdowns and zero interceptions against these same Ravens in Week 5. It was his best game in both DFS and the real world. At this price, he should be chosen without hesitation.

Charles Sims, Buccaneers (at Colts)

With the Muscle Hamster Dougernaut firmly entrenched as Tampa Bay's lead back, Sims finds himself on the cheaper end of the spectrum. While there may be a contingent jumping at him following a big week against Philadelphia, others will avoid him because of his uncertain role in the offense.

Sims' rushing stats are often limited - 12 touches being his max on the year - but he has been seeing targets in the passing game. All of his touchdowns have been of the receiving variety. Though he hasn't been a boom play, he comes at an inexpensive enough price to make his potential worth a flier.

Dontrelle Inman, Chargers (at Jaguars)

With the bloodbath that is the Chargers' receiving corps, someone will have to jump to relevance. This team has been in free-fall mode, but the one constant - before Week 11 - was Philip Rivers moving the ball. By default, Inman finds himself as the likely second option considering all the injuries.

Even with Malcom Floyd practicing this week, his effectiveness cannot be counted on and should result in a larger role for Inman. He probably isn't on a ton of radars, so he could be a great GPP option.

TE Jacob Tamme, Falcons (vs. Vikings)

Tamme hasn't had a high price tag at any point, and it's mostly because of his inconsistency. He'll grab eight catches for close to 100 yards one week only to come back and make three catches for 30 yards the next. He's coming off a single-catch game in Week 11 and it will remain a crapshoot as to whether he performs week-to-week.

As a bargain TE, you can do a lot worse. WR Julio Jones will still be the top target in Atlanta, but Tamme could very easily poach production from Roddy White and Leonard Hankerson.
