DFS: Counterattack - Week 12's Best Contrarian Plays

Sean Gardner / Reuters

Here's a look at this week's top contrarian plays:

QB Matt Ryan, Falcons (vs. Vikings)

The Falcons have faltered the past couple of games after starting 4-1 and they now hold a 6-4 record.

Ryan, who has been one of the key reasons for the slide, needs to get back on track. The Vikings' defense has been superb this season, but they suffered a heartbreaking divisional loss to the Packers in Week 11.

The Vikings will be taking to the road Sunday, favoring Ryan's 42-17 career record at the Georgia Dome.

RB Lamar Miller, Dolphins (at Jets)

After seeing success earlier this season, Miller has failed to break the 50-yard rushing plateau in each of his past four games.

He continues to produce through the air, scorching the Bills' defense for 97 receiving yards in his team's Week 9 loss.

Bills RB LeSean McCoy proved the Jets defense is penetrable by gaining 112 rushing yards in Week 10. A big week could be in the cards for Miller, who will be faded by most DFS owners because of his matchup.

WR Antonio Brown, Steelers (at Seahawks)

Brown comes with a hefty price tag and will see a low-ownership percentage against the Seahawks.

He is an elite reciever with the tools to make a fool out of CB Richard Sherman. With ailing QB Ben Roethlisberger throwing for 379 yards in Week 11, you can fire up Brown in GPPs with confidence.

TE Gary Barnidge, Browns (vs. Ravens)

Barnidge was an intriguing bargain play to start the season, but his price has increased as a result of consistently solid play.

The Ravens' defense is allowing the second fewest fantasy points to tight ends. It will be safe to roll him out in a game that sees Cleveland enter as a three-point favorite.
