DFS: Week 12 RB Committee Report
Here are the three biggest committee controversies and their effect on Week 12 daily fantasy football:
Baltimore Ravens
PLAYER | WEEK 11 CARRIES | WEEK 11 TARGETS | O-SNAP% |
---|---|---|---|
J. Allen | 22 | 6 | 69% |
J. Forsett | 4 | 0 | 8% |
While his yards per attempt fell from 5.4 in 2014 to 4.2 this season, Justin Forsett was still arguably their best weapon on offense when he broke his arm Week 11.
With Matt Schaub expected to be the team's QB for the imminent future, it's likely that more emphasis will be placed on the run game. Javorius Allen stands to gain the most from a DFS perspective.
With just 3.9 yards per attempt, Allen doesn't project well as an every-down back. He had a career-high 22 carries against the Rams in Week 11 and barely averaged three yards per carry.
He did add five receptions, so he could see targets as a safety valve option with a rusty Schaub under center. It's yet to be seen whether Allen can be a receiving back on a consistent basis.
With the Ravens facing the Browns' league-worst run defense on Monday night, so expect Allen to be featured on 25-plus plays for the second straight week. Baltimore doesn't really have another choice.
Indianapolis Colts
PLAYER | WEEK 11 CARRIES | WEEK 11 TARGETS | O-SNAP% |
---|---|---|---|
F. Gore | 14 | 5 | 50% |
A. Bradshaw | 9 | 4 | 50% |
Since signing with the Colts prior to the Week 6 slate, Ahmad Bradshaw has been quiet, with just 47 yards rushing and three catches for 24 yards. That changed in Week 11, with the former long-time Giant rushing nine times for 32 yards and catching four pass - two of them for red zone TDs.
Frank Gore (knee) is banged up but is listed as probable against the Buccaneers on Sunday. It's not clear if Bradshaw will continue to see this kind of red zone usage when Gore is healthier, but he should expect a consistent workload as the Colts look to keep their lead back fresh for the playoffs.
Indianapolis has been great at red zone scoring all season, recording a TD on 64.5% of their opportunities - fourth-best in the league. Against the Bucs' mid-tier run defense, both Gore and Bradshaw are acceptable GPP plays.
Seattle Seahwks
PLAYER | WEEK 11 CARRIES | WEEK 11 TARGETS | O-SNAP% |
---|---|---|---|
T. Rawls | 30 | 0 | 64% |
F. Jackson | 4 | 2 | 29% |
Thomas Rawls is entrenched as the team's lead back after recording 255 yards from scrimmage and two TDs against the 49ers. Marshawn Lynch (abdominal) is doubtful to play against the Steelers.
There are plenty of reasons to fade Rawls this week. The chance that he has another 29-attempt outing are slim, especially against Pittsburgh's fifth-ranked run defense. Rawls has been a good story in Lynch's absence but this game against the Steelers has swift regression written all over it.
