Barcelona, a club that doesn't need help by any standard, was lent a helping hand on Tuesday.
A 1-1 draw between BATE Borisov and Bayer Leverkusen secured the Catalan club's place in the knockout phase of the Champions League for a 12th straight year, as the result ensured that the Blaugrana can finish no lower than second in Group E.
With Leverkusen's draw, Barcelona advances to 12th straight knockout stage, tied for 2nd-longest active streak w/ Arsenal (Real Madrid 19).

Should Barcelona, sitting on 10 points, defeat AS Roma at the Camp Nou on Tuesday, Luis Enrique's side will be assured of the top spot in its group.
