Ohio State's Ezekiel Elliott rips play-calling
Ohio State superstar running back Ezekiel Elliott clearly wasn't happy with his team's play-calling in its loss to Michigan State.
"I deserve more than 11 carries. I really do," he said. "I can't speak for the play-caller. I don't know what was going on."
Elliott wasn't the only one, as plenty of observers questioned his lack of touches in the second half. Elliott actually rushed the ball 12 times in total, but only twice after halftime, despite the tough weather conditions and Ohio State's inability to move the ball through the air. He finished the game with 33 yards.
"We weren't put in the right situations to win this game," he said.
It was Elliott's first game rushing for under 100 yards since Nov. 15, 2014 against Minnesota, when he ran for 91 on 18 carries.
Elliott also told reporters that he will take his talents to the NFL next year, making this his last home game as a Buckeye.
"Honestly, that was my last game at the Shoe," he said. "There's no chance I'm coming back next year."
