Cavaliers' Williams out vs. Bucks with sore leg

Ken Blaze-USA TODAY Sports / Reuters

Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Mo Williams will sit out Thursday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Williams is dealing with a sore leg, Chris Haynes of Cleveland.com reported.

The 32-year-old Williams has been a revelation in his second tour of duty with the Cavaliers. He's averaging 15.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 5.6 assists per game on a robust true-shooting of 59.2 percent.

He's seamlessly eased back into his role as LeBron James's sidekick and made up for the injury to starting point guard Kyrie Irving, who only recently began weight-bearing exercises along his recovery from knee surgery.

Cavaliers head coach David Blatt will start Matthew Dellavedova in Williams' place.
