Jon Jones hints at April return in Instagram post

Jon Jones is putting Daniel Cormier on notice.

The recently reinstated former UFC light heavyweight champion posted the following photo on Instagram, showing off his terrifying new physique while simultaneously hinting at an April 23 return:

True to form, Jones has since deleted the photo, but not before it could be widely screencapped (via MMAjunkie.com).

Not only is Jones' apparent renewed commitment to training significant, but the hinted date of April 23 is quite telling. Although MMA remains illegal in the state of New York, the UFC has already booked Madison Square Garden on April 23 in the event that the sport is legalized this year.

As such, one can assume the UFC's potential debut at the "World's Most Famous Arena" would be headlined by a light heavyweight title showdown between Jones and Cormier.

This likely won't sit well with Cormier, who has repeatedly said that he won't allow Jones to dictate the terms of their rematch, including the possibility of squaring off in the pound-for-pound great's home state of New York.
